Synopsis::

After re-installing the complete Windows XP system it is not possible to include my Cinergy Hybrid Card anymore in Media Portal Setup.
It comes to an Error pop up "no video capture cards available" - but all drivers are installed correctly anyhow (they are available within the registry - Windows MCE find the card and Terratec Home Cinema as well) - only MP isn't able to find them anymore.
I also took a look in the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml and did found the card in - but I don't know the right settings so what can I do?
Enclosed one pic of my current CaptureCardDefinitions.xml entry I used to.

Can't help, but I'd love an answer...same situation as you - latest Cinergy T USB XS XP drivers installed just fine (their supplied Terratec Home cinema PVR app works a treat), yet Mediaportal can't find any capture cards.

fixed

I couldn't find another solution than to re-install the complete system once more - after that, it run's now without any problem (until now).

Thanks for the quick update.

Re the XML file you referred to....

1. Where can I download it (or could you possibly email me it to me .... trouthead54@hotmail.com

2. Where does it go?

Many thanks

Sorted now.

For the record....

1. Uninstalled GB-PVR (I suspect it was nabbing the card on startup)
2. Uninstalled MediaPortal
3. Uninstalled Tuner card drivers
4. Re installed tuner card drivers
5. Re installed MediaPortal.

Voila...capture card found.
