Default TV channels are lost after configuration

MediaPortal Version: 0.2.1.0
Windows Version: Windows XP Home
CPU Type: Athlon XP 2000
HDD: 2 x 300 GB Seagate
Memory: 512 Mb
Motherboard Chipset: VIA
Video Card: Nvidia Geforce FX5200
Video Card Driver: ?? Had issues upgrading, but have a recent version
Video Card Resolution720x576
1. TV Card: Hauppauge PVR150
Remote: Hauppauge

Scenario:

I installed XP on my machine, installed media portal and set up the channels. This all seemed to work, but after a few tries of media portal the channels stopped displaying.

E.g. I would open up My TV, and no channels would display. Also if I went back to configure the channels it would scan the channels, but they would not be displayed in the scanning window.

Both the error.log, and mediaportal.log attached show a number of .NET exceptions that have occured.

Default Fixed

Wow, what a weird problem.

Along with this my machine was crashing at random intervals.

I solved the media portal problem with a reinstall of media portal.

The crashes still occured after that so I scanned the registry with a program called "REGCURE". I had to pay for it, but at the end of the day it finds a lot more things than any free registry scanner I have ever found.

Anyway it seems to have done the trick.
