Let me explain my experience. So I'm sitting there watching LOST, and in the middle of a commercial break, I see a South Park episode on screen. I thought it was some kind of commercial for South Park, as the channel I was on still said ABC (the channel LOST is aired on) in the zapper, tv guide, mytv, everywhere. It took me a minute to realize that it was actually not ABC, but Comedy Central, where South Park is aired. I forgot I had scheduled a show recording at the same time as LOST for a South Park episode. Now, in an ideal world, the software should have popped up a window or something saying "A scheduled recording for South Park will begin in 60 seconds...click cancel to resume your current program and cancel the scheduled recording for South Park, or click OK to switch to that program. If no option is chosen, the default option is to change channels to the previously scheduled program." And it would give you the option to choose between the two programs basically, defaulting to the previously scheduled recording. At the very least, the tv server should report the correct channel that it is recording, and maybe pop up the on-screen-display showing what channel it has changed to for a few seconds. Country: | Update: I'm using the SVN from 3-30-07. I'm realizing now that I probably should have put this post in the TV Engine support forum. Can any admins reading this move it for me? |
