TV doesn't turn on after sleep - Vista

MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3
Windows Version: Vista Pre SP1
CPU Type: Intel Dual Core something
Motherboard: Dell System...
Video Card: ati hd 2400
Video Card Driver: 8.3 i think
Remote: MS MCE

I use the MCE remote to set the pc to sleep when I'm not using it. Sometimes after waking it up, the tv doesn't see that the pc is on and shows a blank screen and then turns off due to power saving. I can tell the computer is on because i hear the sounds MP makes when I use the remote. Putting the pc back to sleep and waking it up works most the time. This will also happen from time to time after shutting down and starting up again. Anyone know what's up?

My old PC with XP worked fine though I never put it to sleep. The TV always saw the PC was connected and on. I don't know if this is a MP problem per se but any help would be appreciated.
