I went so far through all SVNs until the actual and the problem is still present. Please note in the beginning, that I have had a good working 0.2.3 MP setup on this HTPC. I did not change anything in drivers, codecs, system updates, etc. between the working 0.2.3 setup and my trial installations of MP 1.0 RC1 and the follow up SVNs. I use a RC1 single seat installation with the latest SVNs and no HDTV support, but usage of TVServer 1.0 RC1 (not the old one integrated in MP). I see following fault scenarios: 1.) After turning on TV things start good and TV runs smoothly, but channel switching is awfully slow (up to 15 ... 20sec per switch action), while being in full screen. Channel switching with the preview on and using the "channels" menu is quite fast as expected. Afer chaning channels for a while, the system MP sometimes locks up with a frozen picture of the actual channel and then the following, like described below, happens. 2.) After turning TV on I see a black picture or a frozen picture of the actual channel and MP locks up. After some time I get from Vista the message that MP in not responsive anymore - after selecting to abort the process MP Test Tool kicks in and generated the attached set of logfiles. 3.) Scheduled TV recordings are never executed. If I go into the TVServer configuration program I can see the scheduled recordings under TV/Schedules, so the server knows them, but never starts them. The attached logfiles are from scenario 1.) and 2.) currently no logfile for 3.), but I know I need to supply one ! For testing purposes I did an installation of MP 1.0, RC1 latest SVN using the (old) integrated TVServer. That installation worked quite well, nothing about the problems listed above. But sometimes the TVScheduler service crashed, makking me to loose any recodings planned after that event. I did not investigate that further, since I do not want to go with the old integrated TVServer. Any help is appreciated, Markus |

Country: | Have you got MCE enabled, as showing a error shutting it down. You can easily enable\disable following the instructions here.

Country: | Hello Ray, thanks for answering, what do you mean with MCE ? The MCE Remote control or the Windows Media Center. MCE Remote control is not enabled, but since it is a Vista Ultimate Installation, I think the Vista Media Center (and probably its services) is installed on that machine. Thanks, Markus |

Country: | Hello Ray, OK, thanks for your support - I'll try that, first I need to restore an image with the RC1 installation, since I went back to 0.2.3 because the family needs MP all day long ;-) Markus |

Country: | As far as Recordings go, have you got it set to record in .ts format and does this happen if windows is already running, or after standby, that no scheduled recordings happen..

Country: | Hello Ray, sorry I have forgotten you to give more details. It makes no difference for the recording problem, if the system wakes up from standby or if it should go into recording from running state. Also no difference if the Mediaportal client is running or not. If I had the the TVserver config tool open, I can see the scheduled recodings, but they are not executed. Markus |
