Exclamation TV judder (all cards in both SD and HD) and MP crashing

Guys, I have been trying for days to fix this an out of desparation I'm calling out for help! Up until a week ago I had a pretty stable MP installation using Monochroms skin. The tv is the problem, everything else works (HD/SD MKV/divx playback and mp3/radio etc). When I go to my tv and view a station it shows two or three frames from the feed and jumps between them. No audio and no other pictures. MP will them crash after a while. I can preview the satellite feeds in the config programme perfectly (although there is no sound) but as soon as viewed through MP, complete nightmare! I was running RC1 so I thought I'd upgrade. I've tried installing over the top to the latest svn release. No change. I then uninstalled everything and started again...the same result!

If anyone has a solution or suggestion I'd be really REALLY appreciative!!

If not is there a way of cleaning everything out of the registry and starting again?

Logs enclosed.

Thanks all,
Crom

First i would consider what you have already said, no audio in TVServer config\channels preview, this sounds like you do not have the correct codec being used by the system.

First run filmerit (link in signature) use the padlock to unlock and repair any errors.

Are you using any particular codec installations, is your vista 32 or 64 bit.

Consider downloading the PowerDVD8 trial, it will allow you to use the codecs without registering it, but for audio FFDShow takes a lot of beating.

Exclamation

Thanks for the quick response. I've been very careful about the codec installation and only installed what was strictly needed. I tried the app that you suggested. I got one error, a missing CLSID number. Not sure that this is particularly serious ;-) but I uninstalled the drivers and re-installed as per the apps instructions...no change. still the same error. As I was about back to square one I thougth I'd updated the drivers and updated the latest video drivers and the latest audio/motherboard drivers. All a bit bizarre seeing as I had it all working fine under the old drivers but ripping all the cards our, clearing out the registry and upgrading the drivers appears to have done the trick! It now works with no judder??? Checked the codecs that are being used. Exactly the same as before. Very strange.

You were absolutely right about the no audio in the preview...should have noticed that pointer.

Hey ho...now back to installing skins and configuring webepg (again)...thank you very much for your help.

Hmmm, i spoke to soon. Arrive back home after work to find that MP had crashed. Can anyone more intelligent than me make any sense of these logs?

Thanks for any help you're able to give,
Crom
