Default Two Tuners - Can't Record One Channel & Watch Another?

MediaPortal Version: MediaPortal-svn--09-30-2006--00-59-Rev10604
Windows Version: Windows XP Pro
CPU Type: Core 2 Duo e6600
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 320GB x2
Memory: 2GB
Motherboard: Asus P5B Deluxe
Motherboard Chipset:
Motherboard Bios: Latest Revision
Video Card: ATI Radeon X1900XT
Video Card Driver: Latest Revision
Sound Card: M-Audio
1. TV Card: Hauppauge Nova-T 500
1. TV Card Type: Dual Tuner
1. TV Card Driver: Hauppauge 2.5E

I'm running MediaPortal on a Hauppauge Nova-T 500 which has TWO Tuners built in. I can watch all channels available to me and I can also record the one I'm watching. However I cannot record one (using one tuner) and wach another (using the second tuner). I receive the following error whilst recording the channel I am currently watching and trying to change to another channel;

"All tuners are busy".

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,
Have you assign the same channels to both cards (MP Setup -> Television -> Channels -> TV Cards)?

Please post your mediaportal.log when this happens to MediaPortal Pastebin

Regards
Roy

Ah that was the problem, the same channels were assigned to both cards . Does that mean that I can't watch any channel whilst recording one, but only those that aren't assigned to the TV Tuner doing the recording? Bit silly imo if that's the case...

Hi,
The same channels have to be assign to both cards, to be able to watch one & record another one @ the same time. If you can't then it's something weird.

Regards
Roy
