I have something called an EASY TV USB DVB-T stick which came with Blaze HDTV... the software is good but lists all channels it finds as 'Unknown' only once have i ever seen the correct channel name displayed (which in turn works the EPG for that channel) anyways because you cannot edit channel names once the HDTV has found them i had to find an alternative...i found MediaPortal... Downloaded the latest build last night and was ever so pleased, told me my usb stick was fine and even listed 'Whitehawk Hill - Brighton' in the tuner settings (that transmitter is only 200 yards away from me) - i attempted a scan which seem to work, great signal strength and everything else seemed fine, but sadly no channels of any kind were found, even though BlazeHDTV did...and has found many in the past... I un-installed the latest build of MP and opted for the stable release, remembered my settings it seemed but didn't list 'whitehawk-hill' as a transmitter... so i scanned for UK channels and again found nothing, signal strength was good etc... I don't know what else to try, my little USB stick seems welcomed by MP, it tunes... but alas i cannot find a single channel... where as the other does but without any names or EPG... please advise, cheers |

Country: | You mentioned that you were 200 yards from the transmitter. It could be that your signal strength is too strong, which would overload the tuner in your EASY TV USB DVB-T stick. You could try using an attenuator. |
