Country: | Hi, I have just installed MediaPortal and have some problems with the Setup. I have a Pinnacle PCTV 110i TV card and MediaPortal detects it and shows it in MediaPortal Setup under Capture Cards. But - if I press Edit i get an error message "Unable to create graph for this device!!" (twice). When I scanned for channels MediaPortal did not find any. I have added a channel manually but it doesn't work. The TV picture in MediaPortal is black. I also use Pinnacle Media Center and it works OK with Pinnacle PCTV 110i. I don't know much aboute MediaPortal and when I read the Forum I don't understand everything - must I install a "Codec" or ??? Can anyone give me some hints - then I am very greatfull...! //Hakan MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2.0 Windows Version: XP Home CPU Type: 3.0 GHz Pentium HDD: 200 Gb Memory: 1Gb Motherboard: Intel 1. TV Card: Pinnacle PCTV 110i |

Country: | i experienced this message when starting in diagnostic mode (using msconfig) which will disable all autostart entries and services not needed for the most important system parts. when i tried to open "my tv", it told me it couldnt access my tv card and that it wasnt able to create graph (whatever that means) my first guess would be a needed microsoft service is not running or faulty. check your eventlog (start -> run -> eventvwr) for red or yellow icons in one of the tabs. Country: | The "Unable to Create Graph" message usually means that MP has a cofiguration for your card, but it is incorrect and it can not make the proper connections. You will need to find out what the problem is and correct it. It can be as easy as running GraphEdit while in the card set up mode to see what is not connecting. It is basically the same process used to configure a new, unsupported card. If you have not already done so, please read the following: Getting your H/W TVCard to be supported Getting your Software Encoding Card to be supported Add TVCard to natively supported list Follow the instructions on this thread on how to properly ask for help: How to start a support thread You need to fill in the system specs in your user profile. It is difficult to help if we don't know what you have. Paul |
