| I have just managed to get my Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T Stick USB working with MP on one machine, but now I am trying to get it working with a 2003 server (Basically because it is left on 24/7) I get errors when trying to configure the TV card saying graphs are not there. I wondered if it was a problem with 2003 server, or my Graphics card (Matrox MGA G400 MAX with latest drivers). I have uploaded the latest mediaportal.log here http://mp.pastebin.com/767203 Hope someone can help. Thanks Steve |

Country: | Steve, your system fails to pass minimum requirments for Mediaportal. 1. You need a DX9 Graphics Card. The G400 is DX8 only 2. You should run WinXP SP2 and you have a 2003 Server I'm afraid, you will not make MP run in this environment, even if you make it work with the errors you described. regards, Helmut |

| Helmut, Thanks for the reply. I understand that it SHOULD be run on XP SP2. But at the moment I only have a 2003 server available to use on a regular basis (I know it seems strange, but don't ask). I managed to get the Hauppauge software to work ok on the server so by general assumption thought it was worth a bit of time to see if I can get MP to work on it too. Are you saying that even if I changed the graphics card to one with DX9 capabilities It still wouldn't work because of differences between XP and 2003 server? Thanks. Steve |

Country: | Steve, it could be that you're running into other problems. Looking at your log, it looks like that something is not installed correctly. We're not finding some COM object needed. Could be a driver issue. I don't have any knowledge about DVB cards, so i'm afraid i can't be of more help at the moment. Try to re-install the drivers, maybe. regards, Helmut |

| I had the same problem with my 150MCE. For me, it has something to do with AVISynth. If I have it checked in FFDShow Video codec setup, I get this error every time. I don't even have to have FFDShow post-processing checked in Media Portal setup. I probably have something mis-typed in a script. |
