After weeks of fussing with MP I'm down to only one glaring problem (though I'm sure that I'll create more soon!). When trying to play an mpeg2 .ts stream in Media Portal using the 2/20/2008 SVN build, the screen will pause for a second (Like it does when you try to play an h.264 .mkv file without the proper splitter/codec installed) and then I am "returned" to the menu I was just on. With a clean install of Media Portal, this does not happen, and my stream plays fine with hdtvpump installed. I address this problem as being in the 2/20/2008 build, however it's more than likely that it started with an earlier build. I haven't the time to test every one to see when this feature breaks. I have duplicated the bug on both my laptop, and my htpc, which have very different hardware/software configurations, and since it used to work, but doesn't as soon as the SVN is installed, I'm fairly sure the fault lies with MediaPortal. PS: The test file that I'm using is available from the DVB Portal website at the following address: http://dvbportal.dyn1.de/get.php?file=hilary.zip |
