My System

Default Unable to watch analog channels

Hi all,

This is my first post.

I have the FlyTV Express X1 MST T2A2 (lifeview) card. Today i installed mediaportal and my problem is that i cant watch the analog channels. The message i get every time i try to view an analog channel is " Failed to start TV. Unable to creat graph."
I have no problem at all watching the digital channels.
Anyone can help ?

MP saves all recordings (and "Live" TV) as dvr-ms files. This is actually a mpg file. Digital TV shows are natively broadcast as mpg files. Analog TV needs a mpg encoder for them to work in MP.

There is no "official" encoder, but many cards were set up with Intervideo encoders. You can install the trial version, then uninstall it. The Intervideo encoders are left behind after the uninstall

many cards are using the intervideo encoder.
but flyview is using cyberlink.
The ax files are in its software folders...
Though the original software registers these codecs untill I installed cyberlink it did not work.
( mine came bundeled with powercinema 4 but I did not want to install it. In the end I had no choice)
An alternative is installing the flyview original softwae.
It has some sort of startup prog activating the card /and graph/ at startup.
Unfortunatelly it's not always working!!!
With cyberlink installed ( never started ) the error goes away.( maybe in my case)
As soon as I uninstall it, the error pops up again.
It is weird.....
It is only the analog part of the card.
Digital is always working fine...

BUT in analog, audio won't be decoded untill using th audiocodec of cyberlink powercinema.
Decoders of powerdvd 6 or 7 or shell or anything else are not working...
I've tried a lot or codecs, but somehow only that is working with flywiev.

Thats why I told ptisi to install powercinema ( without the whole story)
