| Portal Tester | With everything that you have done/achieved the software side looks not at fault. This raises the question; is the hardware faulty? Are you sure the AIW actualy works ? What TV aerial signal are you feeding it ; analog or digital , FTA or Cable ? Connect the svhs or composite inputs on the AIW to a suitable source ; do these work ? |

Country: | I took the hardware out of a working Media Center Box so I do not believe it is that. I am hooking up analog cable (not over the air) to the computer. The Hauppauge gets the signal. I do not have the AIW media center software installed, but I can do that to see if I can watch TV through their program. |

Country: | I removed both TV cards and added the AIW first. Now video is displayed from the AIW but I have scrambled lines at the bottom of the video. Do not suppose you have a fix for that? |

| Portal Tester | Good to know some progress. I had thoughts it may be hardware problem . The lines are to do with a filter setting that is incorrect. A couple of things you can try . In the channle setup in MP force your TV standard and don't have default for each channel. Run the complete filter graph you have saved within graphedit and check each filter settings while playing (some filters have No settings) are suitable to your broadcast standard. Choose your codec filters with care within MP for the TV, try a different deinterlace setting. |

| Hello I'm new on this forum and I'm trying to use AIW 9000 Pro with MP I did everything suggested and it works, but processor works at 100% when i try to watch TV. This card supports DirectX9, but I don't know how to "switch on overlay" as suggested in one of threads. I don't use dual monitor setup, so I only have one primary display. I did downgraded drivers, everything went ok. Channel scanning doesn't work but it's not problem for me because I know frequencies. So how to lower CPU usage with MP and this card? |

| ok great support ![]() Now I know Radeon 9000 is only DirectX8. Is there possibility to use with MP and with lower CPU usage? ATI MMC works without problems, hovewer as I see it doesn't use crossbar |

| Portal Tester | Unfortunatly not. The AIW 9000 will struggle while the gui and video are displayed with a slower cpu. as the card is not fully DX9. Fullscreen should be manageable as the GUI overheads drop to zero. I use my AIW 9000 with a dual MP 2000, the GUI does struggle when the AIW tuned for TV even though there is plenty of CPU headroom. (60% of a single cpu is used) 100% cpu usage seem to high, try a diferent SVN release. Try using the Cyberlink ATI decoders as they are better suited to the AIW Last edited by SciDoctor; 2006-12-04 at 23:23. |
