Default Useful Tool : DPCLAT (stuttering/dropped frames)

I came across this tool that may be useful to people with suttering/dropped frames - or for new builds as a diagnostic tool.

In short, a driver that is badly written may hog the CPU in one of its DPCs - this can starve other drivers - in a htpc that could be a cause of frame drops/stuttering.
This tool measures and graphs the peak DPC latency.

Cheers,
BigJ.

Thanks BigJ

Great find. Really useful. Helped me narrow down my stuttering problems to a network card.

Default

Did it help you. I observed stutters in the similar configuration.

Mine were due to stream errors. (Some say due to bad antenna). I have lots of "VMR9helper: Playing=>Repaint" events in the log.

MPV/MPA handles this better, so I dropped PV for the time beeing.
