Hi,

i cannot have "clean sound" with mediaportal. I can use bass player, winamp... I can hear song but with an enormous wind behind...
But when i play the same mp3 without MP no problem, sound is clean..

I cannot understand why.

Is anybody ever have this problem ? And solved it ?

Regards

You should always attach your logs. That way devs can perhaps see what is going on.

With ASUS's soundmax solutions you'll never get decent sound - at least they've learned the lesson as well and start selling boards with Realtek's premium chips...

Please use a directshow player as WMP for reference as well.
Make sure you're using 44,1 KHZ for digital outputs.
Do not turn up the WAVE or any Bass lever above 50%.

If you use the internal dshow player setting instead of bass, is there any improvement (MP config\music player)

I think it's a realtek chip, as it's shown on the motherboardmap...

I bought a PCI cheap cheap soundcard to bypass this problem (CMI 8738) without success...
I still have the over altered sound when playing music....

I don't understand why.. Every player sounds good but not media portal.. I cannot believe that i'm the only one in this case..

Try installing the latest DX9 update, yours may be corrupted

Download details: DirectX End-User Runtime
