VFD display Shuttle SB83G5M

Soon i have a new pc witch i will use ase media pc with MediaPortal.

The pc is a Shutlle XPC SB83G5M with a integrated vfd display.

I know it should be possible to use the text-part of the display via smarty.
Is it possible to use the predeifined icons of the display (play, record, etc.....)
It should work with MCE, but since i don't have this product I can't test it.

By reading your comment i understand that it is indeed possible to use smartie for lcd output on the XPC??

I haven't tried it yet.
Do you have any tips?

I have same case, too. You can search MCEDisplay plugin in this forum , it works but some information showed are not correct or missing: for example while playing video it shows 'Unknow'.

I will try to study source code to fix it.

The MCEPlugin works fine with the icons of the VFD display.
To bad the plugin isnt finished yet and i a see al lot 'unknown'
