video not playing (new install)

New htpc build and I can't get video or dvd to play. Videos are ripped to ISO and autoloaded by Daemon tools. Log files attached.

When I click a video, nothing happens. No indication at all (pause or otherwise).

Windows XP (all service packs and updates performed)
Core 2 Duo 3.0 (e8400)
Samsung Spinpoint F1 (1tb) x 3
Pioneer Blu-Ray combo drive
Hitachi Deskstar (1tb) x 5

4 gig PC6400 ram

Pioneer Blu-Ray combo drive

Need PowerDVD8 for this and probably as your mpeg2 codec as well, FFDShow is not a good mpeg2 codec.

What options in daemon tools have you got, is automount enabled.

The pioneer drive hasn't arrived yet (arrives today ups from newegg) so playing HD movies hasn't been attempted yet.

These are just standard DVD .iso rips. Automount is enabled. The iso's mount fine in Daemon when you select one. They just never play (nothing happens).

Even premount an ISO and tell MediaPortal that my virtual drive is my DVD drive it still wont play them.

Hi fiasco,

I've had similar problems (no video etc) but it was resolved by installing WMP11.

I have MP11 installed.

I just had the same trouble all the time. Until i realized that i have to choose Drive Number 0 instead of Drive Number 1 in the configuration of the Daemon tools in MP.
Try to change the number to 0 if you want to use the first of the virtual drives. And make sure that the Drive Letter is correct (Example: The first Virtual Daemon Drive would be J: and set Drive Number: 0)
That's how it worked for me.

Oh, and i enabled autoplay always in MyDVD (not sure if it has something to do with it though).
