I really need some help. I get stutters all the time in the tv module. The signal is almost 98% and I tried different codecs, but Intervideo is the best choice for me. I tried mpv,intervideo,purevideo.

I get ALOT of VMR9Helper: repaint->playing 1 in the log, and TV is stuttering when that shows up in the log.

I got most of the problems in the pay channels and I was wondoering if any have any tips for me.
I reverted back to a fresh install of mce 2005 but it didn't help, so it's not the OS. I also updated with the 3 patches for dual tuner(even if I only have one!)

please give me tips on how to solve this, or is it that its MP's fault?

Seems same problem as
Movie playback stutter!

(when I check the logging it seems *not* related to your capture-card)

I checked a little bit in the source-code and it seems to happen in the Core part of MP (to be more specific the player (File 'VMR9.cs' method 'Process'). However I don't understand the code precisely and have to study it a little further.

I guess it's better that this post is move to:

i think it has to do with the tv card since it happens more with paychannels than free channels.

any real tips?

Lasse, I have seen this issue now reported from 3 sources (TV, DVD and Video). They have all 3 the same thing in common and that is the core player part of MP. That does believe me that this is the *real* issue.

I get it while recording and NOT watching also.this makes the recording smaller and it looses information...sighhh

lar282, I don't see the 'VMR9Helper: playing->repaint 0' logging above...

above is from a recording last night that only became half the size..(casue of the bug!)
I think repaint only comes when u are watching TV, above is only recording not watching

Not that I can really help much but can't hurt.

Have you tried with the blue two skin instead of MpXlobby?
(there may have been some changes in the skins)

I am not sure what plugin is "XMpTv.dll" but have you tried without it running?

Does it work ok with the "stable" release?
