While you were watchin the same programm? Cause volume differenzes between e.g. a movie and commercials might be normal.
Not only that comms are usually louder, a movie might come with AC3 sound and comms with mpg audio.
Just a thought.

no no no... the volume changes every time... It isn't a problem of different type of TV program...

-Are you using an IR remote to control MP?

If Yes;

-What is the make (like MCE)

-Does the IR receiver has a cornteol light, like a LED that blinks when you send a command from the remote control

-Is this light constantly blinking even if you don't use the remote

-Is there a fluro light near the IR receiver

no, the ir receiver LED doesn't blink when the volume changes automatically... I think is a software problem....

the strange thing is that if you are watching a tv show in full screen and you change the volume, then the volume bar will show. In your case, it doesn't so this so it means MP isn't intentionally changing the volume so it's not a remote control issue or anything like that.
My guess is a codec issue, but as has already been said, I've never heard of anything like this before.

The only other things that may be related to sound is networks, try disabling any network connections temporarily and test.

Also in FFDShow, enable volume normalisation, you can also specify Mixer output to 5:1 surround.

Hopefully one of the above will help.

After this we need logs as asked for previously.
