Country: | If you use the latest svn, open MPconfig\general\volume there is now a Vista specific volume setting, may help.

I think I am having the same problem. Volume on my MCE remote does not work at all. Every other key seems fine, just volume has gone. 1. I have tried most suggested solutions to Vista volume issues on the forums. 2. I have reverted to RC1 and other earlier svn. 3. Volume works in Vista MC 4. I have tried various combos of volume (classic, vista, etc) So to summarise, volume does not work in Vista on my MCE remote - the newer one with the four colour buttons on the bottom and that lights up. Can provide logs as required. Sorry - I should have added mute works fine. Last edited by paretooptimu; 2008-05-26 at 11:53. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Country: | If you open MP with any kind of TV\Video running (alt + enter prior to starting video to get windowed mode), right click on the speaker icon in systray, select mixer does MP show up. Can you alter volume from there, if yes that eliminates MP as being at fault and goes totally back to remote. In MP config\remotes\mce, reset to defaults make sure you have no other software that uses the remote IRServerSuite springs to mind, also make sure its enabled ![]() Have you configured the volume to do other things, ie adjust TV volume (mce remote manual, how to setup\reset)

Country: | FIXED - for me at least. Just thought I would post in case it helps others. Following Paranoid Delusion's comments I read the MCE remote manual (link posted by him). 1. I tried the key combo it gives (a) DVD MENU + LEFT ARROW until the light goes out (b) press OK This didn't work. So I... 2. Left Click, my computer, properties, hardware, device manager, removed driver, unplugged, restarted windows, plugged in again, vista reinstalled driver Just like magic it works. Send questions or comments to Billy Gates. Hope this helps you. |
