For now, i'm not using a tv card. i may add that later but i don't really record much tv. i am using it right now as a "movie on demand". i'm ripping all of my dvd's i own onto the hard drive in the same format that they were on the dvd (Video_TS and Audio_TS folders with all original files). so when i am in My Videos, all i do is click on the movie icon and the movie starts right up (with help from Daemon Tools). everything works pretty much exactly how i want it, except for one thing. On some movies when i start watching, i can't stop/pause/exit out. it's not for all, and as you can see in the mediaportal.log file, there are 2 basic entries for movies. (i picked 2 that i knew 1 would work and 1 wouldn't work). First is the entry for the one that doesn't work, Talk Radio. there's the specific entry: Quote:
Further down, you will see the entry for the movie Caddyshack. This one when i want to back out to the menus allows me with no problems. It also shows the progress bar if i move my mouse up to the top of the screen, and allows me to right-click whereas the Talk Radio does neither. Can anyone give me any ide of why this is doing this? It's just annoying that i can't pause or stop some videos once they start. To get out of the ones that don't work, i have to hit Alt-Enter, escape full screen and then stop MediaPortal. this also sometimes gives me the crash popup when doing this. thanks for any help. if there's any additional info needed, please let me know. | |
