| Portal Member | After months of reading, testing, testing and more testing, I have finally resolved several issues that were negatively effecting my ATI TV Wonder 650 PCI and it ability to consistently record ATSC free-to-air HDTV programs at 720p using Media Portal. My PC is not a dedicated stand alone media center for MP, and as a 56K dial-up user, here are my final Windows XP SP2 (with all available updates - SP3 sucks)... | MP Donator ![]() | Mine is a dedicated HTPC, and after seeing SP3 in several system spec signatures here, I went ahead and installed it. The only immediately apparent problem it caused was that it replaced my SP2 RC2 version of termserv.dll with a newer version. Unlike the released version, the SP2 RC2 version allows an RDP logon without kicking off the user logged on directly. This was pretty easy to fix; what else must I fear from SP3? |

| Portal Member | nothing wrong with sp3... i really dont see why people fearing to install it .. it got enhancements for DVB television and the new quartz dll and tuning with Mhz instead of channelnumbers on hauppauge ... so if there is something of a update u need for xp tv-server with digital tv its this sp3... there are too many people around shouting things that it dont work and such while they haven't got the slightest idea of what there talking about. about the RDP .. one needs to use an admin account to run services like tv-server on the pc so one can logon as a user and when necessary elevate to admin level with secondary logon and run as.. commands.... its in the manual .... most is btw...
