Default x64 MCE remote

Hi,

I am on a Windows XP 64 box w/ the latest Media Portal. I recently bought a Microsoft remote that hooks upto an 'eHome Transceiver' remote by IR. This of course does not work on 64 due to driver issues. Do you guys know of any driver available for this operating system?

Does Hauppauge use the same eHome controller in any of their products? If so can I get x64 drivers that way?

Default So Unfair!

This remote, meant for Media Center PC's, works FINE on my friend's laptop that runs Windows XP SP2. Why can't it work on my x64 desktop.

I'm afraid you won't find drivers for XP64. Maybe it's worth googling a bit, there are alternative drivers for MCE remotes for use with HIP (an app similar to girder). Maybe they compiled it for XP64?

EDIT: I was talking about this: http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/33616.aspx

Note that it needs some manual work to get it playing with MediaPortal.

Tried recently and failed. With a bit of effort you can fake up a set of drivers that get you to the point where the receiver is recognized but thats as far as I could get it to go - no keypresses where handled.

My Googling did not help but hopefully others have, or will have, more success.

Default No solution yet

Hi,

I've been googling for long time and AFAIK there's no solution yet. And I'm afraid that there won't be any solution as Vista x64 is already here.

Best Regards
