My System

Default XP (SP2) not recognizing PVR-350

Area: Other
MP Version: 0.2
Skin: blue
Windows Version: XP, SP2
CPU Type: Intel T2300
Memory: 1 GB
Motherboard Chipset: Aopeni945GTm-VHL, Intel 945GT, Intel ICH7MDH
Video Card: manufacturer and model
Video Card Driver: driver version you used for testing
Video Card Resolution: your desktop resolution
Video Codec Type & Version: video codec you used for testing
Audio Codec Type & Version: audio codec you used for testing
TV Card: Hauppauge PVR-350
TV Card Type: hardware
TV Card Driver: that is most likely the problem
Log: after you encountered the issue. open and copy "/log/MediaPortal.log" paste it here. then add the link to your post
Optional References: any reference

Synopsis:
The hardware manager marks the card with a yellow '?'. i am running the hardware wizard to install the drivers. when I point it to the dir where the drivers are extracted, it doesnt find anything and the hardware wizard stops and says it cannot install the hardware.
i tried the following drivers, none of them seem to work:
pvr250_driver_118_23257.zip
HCW2_4_23257PP2.exe (to obtain from here
).
most likely i am having only a driver-problem. so here is the question:
where can i get the latest drivers for my PVR-350? And how do i make XP recognize the card?

tnx in advance
Stefan

Hi,

you might try these:

At least they work for me. But they seem to be the same. Maybe a hardware conflict (IRQ)? Damaged Board? The 350 should run flawless under XP (SP2)...

Flip.
