24h EPG data for Canal Digital Nordic Channels "Over The Air"

I really hate having holes in the epg!

Xmltv is great, but doesn´t cover all my channels...

Thought this might be of use for someone...?

I've added a channel "EPG3 OTA" to the channel list. This data "channel" seems to transmit 24hrs(?) of EPG data for all Canal Digital Nordic channels (at least the ones I have mapped).

Details on the channel settings can be found here: http://www.satcodx9.com/3592/sve/
(Look for frequency 12.456 GHz, polarization V close to the bottom.)

I only check this channel for EPG grabbing (uncheck "store data only for selected channels").

tick-tock-tick-tock...

I have 24h EPG data for all my Canal Digital Nordic (swedish) channels.

I use this in combination with xmltv (tv_grab_se_swedb) to get 14 days of epg for the channels available at swedb...

N.B.
I have only verified this just recently but it seems to work for my channels (Familjepaktet - "The family package")

Hi,

This is very interesting, haven't yet had a chance to try it. So you just add the channel and let it do it's thing automatically? Or do you have to force it somehow? Sorry I am a bit confused here

Hi,
I get the same result when I grab Discov Civil from 1. dgr West.
I get 24 Hours EPG for all Canal Digital (Telenor)

I just added the channel. But that is perhaps not necessary after seeing digi's reply. Thanks!

Does anyone know if Canal Digital transmits more than 24h EPG? I have heard that their Media High Way implementation is not quite "by the book".

Any other info on CD EPG anyone?

How long should I give it to build the 24hr EPG? Is it instant or does it take a while?

Hi,
Not too long... I'd guess 5-10 mins or so...

It will perhaps also depend on your setting for how often the EPG grabber should run? (Setup TV Server-General Settings)
