OK - i have revisited the problem with "success" - YiPieee
.Mediaportal detects all subchannels as unscrambled channels and permits conditionalaccess.cs to send out the PMT to the firedtv-box, which is normally done to invite the firedtv-box to descramble the "pmt-linked contents" (and what is not needed, if the tuned channel is an unscrambled channel). Now, i have commented out line 275 of ConditionalAccess.cs @ TVLibrary: // if (channel.FreeToAir) return true;//no need to descramble this one... It is a temp. solution, but works for now. |

Ive tested the feature a while now with the conclusion, that the linked-channel-names are often out-dated. Which events cause a revalidation of the names?
If i switch to tv and zap to a channel, which offers some subchannels, mp shows up the right names after a few seconds. But if i zap away to antother channel and return to the channel after a while, the linked-channels-list becomes not updated anymore. Anything else: In the future, a feature like the nvod-director of dbox2 would be nice. The DBox2 (with neutrino) allows you, to activate a directors-mode, whose activation causes a remapping of the left/right and number-keys. Left/right allows a horizontal navigation through die subchannels (in one corner of the screen, a small label is shown, which contains the name of the next or previous linked-channel, if you press left or right, so that you are able to select the desired link-channel without zapping to the linked-channels, that are placed between the actual and the desired channel -> switch with left/right the label, until it shows the desired link-channel, then press OK...), while the number-keys allows a direct subchannel-selection. Interesting for Formel1-broadcasts with more than one perspective. |

Many thanks for this feature again!
I have seen, that you have made some improvements to it. However my linkchannel-names in the OSD were outdated anymore.Well - now I have moved the Gentle-CacheManager-Clear call (that you have added) to the client side (TVFullscreen.cs of TVPlugin), because in my mind the cache is bedded on this side (database on serverside, persistend layer on client side), and it works very well. Currently it's only implemented in TVEngine 3

Hello,
very nice work!!! Thumbs up! Thats what ive waited for, but two things not allready clear to me: 1. Ure talking about a context menu. Which one? The channel-select menu, where i can see names on the sub-channels? or a special one, with a special key? 2. Did i need to let the scanned subchannels in the channel list, or only the portal channels, so the sub-channels are added when they are used? Thnx! sloty |

1. The subchannels-menu is reachable over the context-menu of TV-Fullscreen. Jump to tv-fullscreen, zap to a portal-channel like PREMIERE DIREKT, wait a few seconds, than open the context-menu (do a rightclick). Now you should see a new context-menu-entry called "Subchannels" or "Unterkanäle" (german).
2. in my mind, the best approach is to keep the subchannels in the channellist. If you do not want to see them, you can deactivate the channels (uncheck the checkbox in setuptv, that is shown at each channel). |

Hi,
thanx, dumb, contextmenu is allways rightclick ![]() But i never used that menu. But it works great! 1. Couldnt the subchannelmenu be linked to a key? Like D or F1? D is only used in DVD for the menu, would be a nice use in TV. Or F1, its unused in TV... 2. Sound like a good idea. I allready have them in a group for direct acces. sloty |

Hi all.
Is it possible that the linked channel support is partial broken? Or is it just my setup? When I open the context menu on one of the "Portal"-channels I'm able to select the available subchannels and everything works like it should... But when I'm at the subchannel I'm unable to open the conext menu (to change the subchannel or go back to portal) at all. Bye Lars
