| Hello, I probably go for Ethernet over power (homeplug), which has about 7MByte/sec at most. How much bandwidth does one TV-Stream need? thanks in advance, Anaxares Last edited by Anaxares; 2006-12-03 at 15:37. |

Country: | Depends on the settings. You can have satisfactory results at 4-6MBit/s but my settings are 8-12 MBit/s variable rate. 7MBytes/s would be plenty enough for 4-5 clients and a server if there's no other traffic on the network. Also be aware that even on 100MBit network=10MByte/s that declared values should be divided by 2 to be on the safe side. Are 7Mbytes/sec only a declared value or a real speed ? What is the lowest speed for Ethernet over power? |

| netto speed is declared as 80MBit/sec ~ 10MByte/sec -> at best! Probably the speed in the last room is can be halved -> 5MByte/sec. Number of TV clients are two plus two audio clients |
