Call for DVB-x Italian users

Dear all,

I have a lot of issues trying to get my liveTV work with DVB-T.
Audio works fine but video freeze after 1/2min, best record is 5 min.

I'm on SVN 15604 of TV3, TV3 plugin and MP.

Are you able to get liveTV work for more than that ?
What DVB card are you using ?
What VGA card are you using ?

Are you Vista users ?

TV works fine for hours without problems even with heavy channel changing and watching crypted tv channels (sky italia).

My config:

- FireDTV DVB-S
- Latest BDA Drivers
- Codecs: cyberlink for video, ffdshow for audio
- tsreader filter

Try tsreader if you haven't is really stable.

Don't use cyberlink for audio decoding, it seems to have problems.

Chemelli i have the same issue like you but only with Mediaset channels on DVB-T.I've tryed all possible codecs combination with no luck so i think it's not a codec problem.
I'm using the latest stable MP and TV3,all with the latest SVN.

I wonder why robyf manages to see TV without any issue, it looks like TsWriter is the problem, not TsReader or any codec, but the issue is present only since the SVNs from the beginning of October, maybe robyf is using an older version or is not watching any Mediaset channel (which seems to be heavily affected by this problem)?

I too have the problem on DVB-T, mainly with Mediaset provider. TV freezes (or others funny behaviours in image), and tswriter.log is full of "Jump backward in PCR detected" entries.

I remember a tourettes' post about using a new tswriter for debug purpose, but I cannot find the post (and the link) anymore.

Hi,to me it seems that Robyf it's using a DVB-S card and maybe this problem it's only with DVB-T channels.

Hi all, I do not have problems here, system specifications are on the left, maybe the way I watch TV is the key:
1) I usually use DVB-S and usually watch RAI/MEDIASET/LA7 (no sky)
2) I use DVB-T only when DVB-S is encrypted and works fine too, seems that I don't have problems at all with any channel. But I repeat, I use DVB-T rarely (very poor signal here) and usually to record TV and watch it later.

I can test DVB-T more during this week-end, and have a look at log files.

I've played with DVB-T a little and I have problems with Canale 5 DVB-T; continuous stutter (slow motion style). Seems that with the new channel "Iris" happens the same, but only after some minutes of watching !
RAI works with no stutter at all !
Any progress for you ?
