| Portal Member | Hi, i´ve got the problem that the timeout setting for descrambling a channel is sometimes to short. After 5 sec MP returns "Channel is srambled error" If i test with the TT Software my cam needs sometimes 6 - 7 sec to secramble. So, how can i chance the timeout setting of descrambling a channel ? regards, Erbsenkopp |

Country: | Hi Erbsenkopp, I am experiencing a similiar issue. However, after a fresh startup of the PC it works fine but if the PC entered standby and resumed, then the scrambled channels cannot be decoded any more. What driver version are you using? 5.0.0.2? I don't know, if extending the timer would help but maybe there should be a retry strategy implemented. E.g. the CI interface could be reset if there is no answer and then a retry could be started... Maybe the TT media center uses such a precedure... Hopefully any of the devs can help here out. Do you have traces/logs? Best regards, Andreas |

Country: | @MP devs: Is anybody looking into this? Why does the TVServer give up after exactly 5seconds? Please find attached a log file of the issue Quote:
Maybe the CAM is slower after hibernate... Maybe it would be a good idea to extend the timer to 10 seconds and if this does not help then restart the CAM... This issue decreases the WAF a lot!!! | |

Country: | @Erbsenkopp: I followed these steps: 1. Remove both TT devices (capture and video card) from Windows device manager (select "Uninstall") 2. Use the TT tool "DriverCleaner" to remove the actual driver files. This tool can be found at http://www.technotrend.de/2692/Tools___Downloads.html (bottom of the page) 3. Download the 5.0.0.2 driver and extract the file into a temp directory 4. Now restart Windows 5. Windows recognizes the TT card again but asks for the driver 6. Select manual install and "search in directory..." 7. Point the Windows installer to the temp directory with the new driver 8. Windows installs just one device "TT S2-3200" 9. Now you have to open the TVE3 setup again and reconfigure everything... 10. Make sure you have not selected "Reinit tuners after standby" in the PowerScheduler plugin of the TVE server. That works quite well for me except for the fact that scrambled channels do not work after resuming from hibernate. BTW: I use hibernate, not standby, because it is more stable. |

| Portal Member | Hi Andreas, thank you for your answer but, i do it so like you wrote - no way. I allways get the "No Audio/Video found" error and "No signal found" on TVSetup scanning. regards, Erbsenkopp ps: i have nothing to reconfig. I only have to map the channels to the card. |

Country: | @Erbsenkopp: I thought more about the procedure and I recognized that I did something before this procedure! Please try the following procedure again: 1. Uninstall TVServer and TVServer Plugin 2. Restart Windows (now without any TV in MP) 3. Remove both TT devices (capture and video card) from Windows device manager (select "Uninstall") 4. Use the TT tool "DriverCleaner" to remove the actual driver files. This tool can be found at http://www.technotrend.de/2692/Tools___Downloads.html (bottom of the page) 5. Download the 5.0.0.2 driver and extract the file into a temp directory 6. Now restart Windows (it comes up then without the TT card and without TVE) 7. Windows recognizes the TT card again but asks for the driver 8. Select manual install and "search in directory..." 9. Point the Windows installer to the temp directory with the new driver 10. Windows installs just one device "TT S2-3200" 11. Restart Windows 12. Install TVE and TVE Plugin again 13. Now you have to open the TVE3 setup again and reconfigure everything... 14. Make sure you have not selected "Reinit tuners after standby" in the PowerScheduler plugin of the TVE server. Does this work? |

Country: | Hi, is there any update on this? I always have the problem that after hibernate, the scrambled channels do not work. MP gives me the message "channel is scrambled". If I restart the TVServer, sometimes it works but sometimes I have to eject the Smartcard before it works again. If I use the TT media Center, I do not have these problems. So I think the way MP accesses the CI interface of the TT S2-3200 with the new driver 5.0.0.2 makes some problems. Can anyone from the devs have a look into this? Bets regards, Andreas |
