Country: | Single-seat: Using todays SVN version tsreader.ax and tswriter.ax (copied from repository into a few days old SVN) I no longer have stability problems changing channels not even between cards. Nvidia codec seems to work flawlessly now. One issue remains, though. More often than not playback is from the beginning of the timeshifting buffer after changing channels. I have also had a few examples of memory leaks, where changing channels resulted in MP memory usage to increase by 50-90 MB per channel change. However, I cannot reproduce the memory leak currently. |

Country: | Hi, i tested todays SVN 15172. The results: With Cyberlink and MPx it works okay as long as the option "prefer AC3" is not selected. Also, the channel ZDF is not working any more! As soon as I switch to this channel, MP hangs. It is possible though to exit and stop TV. Please find attach the logs and the seetings of the channel (ZDF, DVB-S, GERMANY). Is it right that the tsreader is now used by default? any possibility to deactivate it and use the old filter again? Last edited by MPUserFromGER; 2007-07-13 at 18:00. |

| Portal Member | Just tested with SVN 15172 - fantastic improvement, all SD channels are fine using Nvidia codec and no problems with channel changing speed (fasted I have seen it), even between cards...but... did crash with the following in the event log... Faulting application mediaportal.exe, version 0.2.2.9991, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727.42, fault address 0x00008890. HD channel (only have BBC HD) locks up if 'Prefer AC3' selected, works if not but starts from the beginning of the timeshift buffer, skip to the end all fine. Not yet fully ready to switch to this full time but fantastic progress...thanks for all work, not sure I could live without MP now Logs for the whole test attached Trevor |

| Cyberlink does not work for me too, when playing .mpeg files. ts-files work fine. In GraphEdit I see, that for .mpeg files the Cyberlink demuxer is chosen, and that the reader reports "GUID_NULL" for the video format. the demuxer doesn't seem to like this, and as a consequence has no video output pin. The input pin is labeled "TS Input". |

Country: | I'd tested the SVN from last night (wich is the same as the SVN from yesterday) all results are the same. Still stuttering when changing the channel and getting "blocks' all the time on channel change. Could it be a hardware / driver issue why it's not working on my pc, but working well on (for example) Frodo's PC?

Country: | @Frodo: I've found some time to test the new filter. Before I start with the usual "good thing" "bad thing" stuff.... let my say... great progress. This release (15181 TVE & MP) is nearly perfect (at least to the ones I'be tested before). My current settings: Video Codec (MPG2 & H.264): Cyberlink PowerDvD 7.3.3014a Audio: ffdshow Now the good things: The playback of MPG2 and H.264 is absolutely fluent now. H.264 is much more fluent as with the old filter. (With the old filter I was never able to turn on the H.264 hardware acceleration of my new Ati HD 2400 in MP. The video was stuttering... at least when watching streams with a decent bandwith (like Premiere HD. With the new filter the playback seems to be fluent even when I turn on the hardware acceleration.) The bad thing: the mantis 1038 is back (http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=1038 or http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/ch...em-t22494.html)In fact it was never really fixed to my. But ist was down to a level at 7-8%. With the new filter it seems to be a level between 70-80%. That means it jumps to the begin of the timebuffer nearly all the time. I can provide logs if you need some. Keep up the good work! Bye Lars

| Portal Member | Just been running SVN 15181, back up what Lars says...all looking a lot better. Couple of things, HD with AC3 is still giving some problems. HD Broadcast is find, nice a smoot provided AC3 is not seleted, selecting AC3 causes millisecond halting and the audio to go out of SYNC. Switch from HD to SD caused a crash once. In addition to testing live TV I tried some previous recordings, I have 3 cards I have card 1 set to .TS format and the others to .mpg. Can play back the .TS files with no problem but not joy with .mpg files. GUI locks, though can jump between windowed and full screen. A graph of sorts is produced but is not complete. I have attached the MP log from attempting to play a .mpg file. Trevor |
