HELP US: Testing the new filter

Yesterday, it was the first time that the "timeshift bug" occured with TsReader!

My current config is as follows:
- MediaPortal-svn--08-25-2007--01-02-Rev15641.exe
- tvengine3-08-25-2007--01-23h--Rev15641.zip
- TV-card: s2-3200 with driver 5.0.0.2
- single seat

What I have done:
- I watched TV
- I tried to change the channel by pressing "channel -" on the remote
- I heared a very short audio squeeze, what I normally not hear if the channel change works
- The timeshift buffer of an earlier watched channel has been played
- I tried to switch the channel again, but the timeshift buffer kept playing from the beginning with every channel change...
- I stoped the TV, exit MP and saved the logs.

could somebody give me any information how the graph should be when
using Cyberlink Video and Cyberlink Audio decoder for MPEG-2 ?

I wanna try the graph in graphedit. I tryed to creat it but tsreader
can't be combined with the video and audio decoders thats a
littlebit strange because of the reason that the h264 decoder works
for h264 ... are there any filters needed in between ?


Some more testing showed me that with the cyberlink h264 decoder
there is no problem to combine it with the rsreader. For MPEG-2
decoder even the Microsoft decoder it is not ...

1. why does MP try to add CoreAVC Decoder ? i have set up Cyberlink decoder
2. why fails the adding of the default directsound
3. what is the line pointing to reclock ? i have no reclock installed ...

I think the main problem is that the default directsound filter can't be added ...


More strange thins, i get the same points on h264 files but they can be played ...

Is there something i can test for figuring out the problem ? should i change the log mode
of MP so you can see something more relevant ?

Scrolled down the list to find an episode of Heroes, hit okay to start playing, let it run for a few seconds to make sure it was properly started. I'm puzzled: the "skipping in record playback returns to list of recordings"-bug is present for a long time now. Nothing changed here for at least two months.
Is Frodo not aware of this problem? Is it not reproducible at his side? This bug renders the whole TV-Server nearly useless to all of those having this problem :-(

Also having the same problem for quite a while, have tried various codecs (Nvidia, Cyberlink, DScaler etc). It does limit options for wathcng recorded contents.

I had a quick look in the bug log but did not notice it there, maybe someone with some relevant logs can post it there

I'm having the seeking issue as well.

Haven't tried the latest SVNs just because this has not been mentioned beeing fixed..

Maybe Tourettes have some info? He has been having issues with the new dvb subtitle filter because of this as well as I have understand it?

I would very much appreciate that some dev. just could aknowledge this as a problem and that it is being looked at...

Just for your information: For me skipping works without any problems. I use a one week old SVN.

Maybe you have some filters installed that cause this problem?

Thanks, for the info chrispi. I will try the latest SVN right away. And I don't use any filters whats so ever (except the mandatory ones.)

Well, the problem still exist for network clients. But single seat works ok so far. So we are not really there yet...

that was always the issue for me too. Single seat works perfectly, but network clients fail back to the menu whenever trying to ff or Rew.
I posted a while ago that I also noticed even just pressing the infor button to bring up the OSD also kicks back to desk top, so I think that is a MAJOR clue...

I confirm that. The problem exists in multiseat environment. Here is my recapitulation of the issue:

- play a recorded show, press skip or ff or rew or info button, then playing is stopped and the list of records is displayed again
- it is codec independend
- it only occurs with the new TSReader - with the old reader skipping and ff/rew is fine
- it occurs in multiseat environment (for me: one server, one client)
- when playing the TS file with "myVideo" skipping, ff and rew works fine

Can anyone having a multiseat environment confirm that he does not have the problem?
