since this post from Seidelin, I haven't heared anything from the devs about this new filter. Is anybody working on it or is it on hold until the 0.2.3 is out of the way? Also, when is it planned to make the new filter the default filter for MP?

Also, other improvements of TsReader are ongoing. And yes, we do read this thread and still appreciate reports of new bugs (or reports of bugs you guys are not experiencing anymore). Regards Seidelin Last edited by Seidelin; 2007-09-13 at 18:05.

Would it be possible to get the known (or even suspected) bugs into Mantis, so that users can know when they are fixed? Although there has been a lot of work on the new tsreader, there don't seem to be entries in the SVN log corresponding to the fixes. I've been reluctant to update (and actually reverted back to the old filter because of the bugs) until I see something here which suggests that the bugs I am experiencing (and have reported) are fixed. I don't mind testing new versions, but it seems a waste unless I know changes have been made. I wish I could do more to help. I'd be more than happy to try to coordinate bug reports and assist with Mantis if this would be of use. Mark

| Sorry for not giving any updateds... I have been busy with TsReader / TsWriter fixing and some real life stuff... Issues 1-4 should be fixed now. This is valid only for new recordings (as there were some issues with TsWriter also). Seidelin also configmed that issue #6 is fixed. Could you guys give some testing with next public MP & TVE3 builds and report back what are the currently open issues.

Country: | Okay, here is some update: 1. Multi seat watching a currently recording show and then seeking freeze MP or just return you to recorde tv (had both symptoms). However doing the same on single seat works ok. The same happens when even if the recording has stopped. This is reproducible for me every time. 2. Something different that (maybe not related to tsreader/tswriter) I noticed is that there is a problem with MP selecting the appropriate tuner when recording. I have two DVB-T tuners which in this case have the same channels mapped to them. I have tuner 1 selected as preferred tuner in tv config, but I have tuner 2 selected as preferred tuner when recording. I was watching a show on tuner 1 channel 1, then decided to record a show starting 30 minutes later on channel 4 via TV guide. I was still watching the show on channel 1 with tuner 1 when the recording was to begin. Then my picture just "frooze" - because MP decided to pick tuner 1 for recording! MP should have started the recording with tuner 2 wouldn't it? I could just stop TV and start TV again to get back to my show I was watching (with tuner 2). Perhaps somebody can look into this? 3. I also had an issue with freezing MP (had to kill mediaportal.exe) when changing between MPEG2 channel and h.264 channel. But this only happened once... So for me Seidelins issue 1-6 seems to be okay for single seat (so far...). But for multi seat (lan clients) I have the problem as described above in point 1. If I find other things I will post it here. My Specs: SVN 15881, TVE3 Video & Audio: Cyberlink 7 GFX: Nvidia 7900 GTX GFX Driver: 91.47 Here is the logs for issue 1: Last edited by pnyberg; 2007-09-14 at 22:53. Reason: Log files. |
