Hi again

Same results with the current versions (15077).

When I try to replay the ts files via MyVideo then H.264 is still not working at all... but the behaviour of the PAL content seems to be different because it is playing nearly perfect ("only" a stuttering every 3-4 seconds). But the ts file I was using is an older one so it is not a 100% test because I don't know if this file is compareable to what is "generated" by the tv server now. I will repeat this test with newer files.

Bye

Will second that ikuech, justbtried the same SVN and results are much the same...

On live TV audio is ok for HD and SD but HD black screen, SD sound ok still pic.

Playing previous record HD causes MP to crash...playing the timeshift file has audio from 20sec before which was a differnet channel.

Can generate logs if required.

On the positive side this realease works really well if I dont switch on the new filter...all previous problems with HD channels are gone.

Just tried rev 15077.
It getting better and better
Switching is channels is no problem and very quick. Picture is stable.
Only problem i noticed was that if i switch to an AC3 audio stream the picture freezes but MP stays responsive. Switching the audio stream back to mpeg didn't solve the problem. Even channel changing causes only stutter.
Only tried SD channels

Frodo has already commented that the new tsreader won't work in a multi-seat environment. Wait a few days and multi-seat users might be able to test the new filter out then...
I will wait, but on the other hand there that little third issue, Frodo posted on 7/3/07:

Quote:
Filter:
- removes itself from the ROT
- sets the formattype on the audio pin
- now supports multi-seat configuration (need latest MP as well) although this is
really work in progress
There one other thing. If I create the useTsReader.txt on the remote PC, MP has a different behaviour, because without the file everything works 'normal' (not fine) as long as I don't skip or change the channel. If I create the file, then there is nothing to see, because the screen remains black.

Just gave this a try - sorry it's not better news..

SD - Better, now have moving video with the od stutter, but souns is out of sync by about 5 secs.

HD - worse, now cant change to HD channel, MP locks completely and has to be killed via a second session.

Playing previous SD recorded TV (on 1st July) ) I get the same as for live, attempting to play HD recorded on the same day caused and blue screen and crash!

Logs attached

UPDATE: I have had to back out to 15077 as this release seems to have problems with channel changing, locks up when changing to channel on diferent card, when new filter is disabled. It may be specfic to me but any one else see this?

I have done some tests using tsreader.ax (build 15077 03/07/07).

It did not work properly with Purevideo codec. When I changed codec to MPV/MPA it worked fine with TV and .ts recordings, as long as I didn't change TV channels from one over my fireDTV DVB-C tuner to a channel on my Hauppauge PCI DVB-T tuner (or vice versa). Changing channels between cards resulted in MP hanging. Changing channels on the same card works fine.

Logs are attached.

Hi,

now i test with TVE3 & SVN Rev 15088.

Switching channel very quick, SD and HD (scrambled and FTA) o.k.

With Cyberlink Audio and Video Codecs witch was bundled to my TT Card, cant watch cause only still frames.

Chance the Audio Codec to MPA - no different.
Chance to Audio Codec DScaler - stuttering every 4-5 Second.

regards,
Erbsenkopp

Hi,

here are my test results with SVN 15088 (both MP and TVE3):
1. When watching LivetV with Cyberlink codecs for video and audio, there is a horrible squeezing sound hearable (note, I have "Prefer AC3" selected). The video seems to play fine.

2. When watching LiveTV with MPA and MPV codecs, there is no sound at all and terrible video quality (there seems to be lots of information missing in the video).

3. When exiting LiveTV and pressing the "Stop" button, MP freezes. It has to be killed via the task manager.

The last message in the MediaPortal log file is
Quote:
2007-07-06 18:15:17.265625 [Info.][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer: vmr9 disable
Then it freezes.

Logs attached.

SVN 15088:

Switching is faster, however is crashes right now on transponder change?!?
The image is stuttering less then the previous SVN's.

Just for the info: This filter, is it only used in MP for displaying the image, or has it also something to do with the TV server?
