I've tested some more now and noticed that sometimes the TVservice on server crashes.

Country: | Frodo Wrote: tsreader now reconfigures its output pins when audio/video format changes So changing from mpg2<->h264 or mpeg2 audio<->ac3 should now work Does this also apply when the "resolution" of the channels changes? As you (frodo) knows one half of NL is broadcasting widescreen and the other half not. Could this explains the problems when zapping? This evening i will test the new SVN's.... Dekkers |

Country: | Hi Guys, I just installed SVN 15120 wich is much more better. The speed of switching channels looks the same but the image is displayed faster and with less corruption. However it is better, it happened to me a couple of times (within 10 minutes) i had to turn off/on timeshifting becouse of "image hang". Everything keeps running, no crashes just the image hangs. See my logs for more information.. we're near a final solution i think ![]()

| Here are some results from my testing. If you change to a channel with a diffrent set of pids MP freezes and you have to kill it from the taskmanager. Here are the last lines from tsreader (own built debug version) log when this happens. 08-07-2007 21:15:17 New channel found 08-07-2007 21:15:17 video pid:30 type:2 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio1 pid:40 type:3 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio2 pid:41 type:81 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio3 pid:0 type:0 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio4 pid:0 type:0 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio5 pid:0 type:0 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio6 pid:0 type:0 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio7 pid:0 type:0 08-07-2007 21:15:17 audio8 pid:0 type:0 08-07-2007 21:15:17 Pcr pid:30 08-07-2007 21:15:17 Pmt pid:20 08-07-2007 21:15:17 Subtitle pid:0 08-07-2007 21:15:17 CTsReaderFilter::Pause() 08-07-2007 21:15:17 CTsReaderFilter::Stop() On HD mpeg2 files i found that MAX_BUF_SIZE of 300 is not enough. For finding 1 audio buffer it finds over 500 videobuffers. When I changed MAX_BUF_SIZE to 1000 the HD mpeg2 files plays ok. If I use large buffers for the video (changed MAX_BUFFER_SIZE to 0x20000 ) so all data beween two PayloadUnitStart fits into 1 buffer HD h264 channels plays ok. When the stream is split into smaller buffers the video stutters. |

| Portal Member | Hi, Just tested current SVN release (15115). Can only comment on picture/sound on SD DVB-S as attempting change channel, be on same card or differnet cards locks MP which has to be killed via task manager. on SD MPEG the picture and sound seem to be perfect, did get one channel doing a 1/4 freez/halt every few secs but cant repeat that now. I checked HD (by disabling the new filter, selecting BBC HD then re-enabling) - selecting TV with the filter enabled produces a blank screen, few cracks and pops and full crash and restart....tried that twice... Getting better though... If you need logs let me know. Thanks |

Country: | thanks frodo, Can you, or someone else who knows, please put together (or point me in the right direction) some short instructions on how to enable the new filter in a multi seat configuration. I want to make sure I am testing the right thing, thanks |
