How turn off timeshifting?

If I don't want a channel to immediatly begin time shifting, how do I turn the feature off? I found an option in the client settings screen in MP but it seems to do nothing. There is nothing in the client setup program and nothing in the TV server.

Bottom line, I only want it to timeshift if I press the "pause" button.

The whole TVSERVER is based around timeshifting for the NETWORK streams.

It can not be turned off.
