I think would be useful, too... I can use my Dreambox directly as a Sat Card...

It is in schedule this functionality?

In vienna Telekom Austria also provides IPTV. It seems as if they also use RTSP for transport (also see). therefore, MP could also become a frontend for this and other IPTV offers...
I am just a bit wondering if also IPTV / RTSP can use conditional access systems. Here it says, aonDigital TV is using Synamedia/Videoguard.

Any news on this issue? Is this in the roadmap for TVEngine3?

Default NetCeiver as Virtual Tuner Card?

I've found a great hardware.. it is called NetCeiver from Reel-Multimedia.

And it offers TS-Streams to the network.. It would be great to integrate something like that to TVE3....

Any Ideas about it???

Why would you need that? TVEv3 allready does this - or am I missing something?

Anyway:

Default .. what I want to do...

the solutions in the other thread looks good but is not what I am looking for

I will describe my problem

I want to setup asystem for a friend ..

5 Rooms, a Server with about 8TB storage for DVD and Audio and other Stuff

At the moment I have 4 DVB-S Tunercards in the server, but I want to replace them in the future with these Netceiver Box.

The Netceiver is a linux based system with several tunerboards that directly offers TS via Gigabit..

the point is.. there is no recording and so on .. and I want to integrat it with TVE3

in addition I want to integrate IPTV because in Germany we have an offer for VDSL 16MBit with IPTV form Microsoft.

What I want to do is in addition to the DVB-S Cards in the server a virtual Tunercard for IPTV in the Server. So we can use the TVPlugin for centralized access, recording etc.

Do you have an idea?

Default no other ideas???

I've seen the patch .. but to be honest it is not satisfying to patch the mediaportal.exe because it will be replaced with the next svn-build...

Isn't there an easy way to integrate streams into TVE3??? and then to provide them as channels.. ???
