Hi & welcome to MP forum.
I guess you're on vista & therefore you have to copy xmltv folder from %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\ to C:\Program Files\Team MedaPortal\MediaPortal\ (if that's your install dir.
This problem will be fixed when we release a new installer.

Roy

Thanks Roy about quick reply.
Thanks also developers about good-working open software.

You are right I have OS Vista Home Premium.
But there aren't xmltv folder in whole computer. I have searched folder and missing files from all locations.
Media Portal installation succeeded without problems and also TV works fine with two cable cards.
I installed TV server in beginning already, so I used never TV through basic Media Portal -- if it's reason for missing files?

Hi,
Try to open run command & past %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv\
& see if it opens the correct folder, it's probably hidden & thats why you don't see it.

Edit: have uploaded the files in a zip here just extract & place the folder in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\ if you used default installation path.

Regards
Roy

Do you need the .dtd and .xml file there if you're using TVServer? I thought the XMLTV plugin let you specify any folder you wanted to put it in (like c:\xmltv)

Hi,
Yes the .dtd needs to be in same folder as .xml.

Hi,

Have I understood right ...
In TV Server 1 enviroment ...
1. I have to config channels manually with program "WebEPG-conf".
2. Then I have to run program "WebEPG" that writes TVGuide.xml to the directory assigned in MediaPortal Configuration, Television, Program Guide
3. TV Server Plugin "XmlTv" read those TVGuide.xml from place assigned in Plugin "XmlTv"

Something is wrong in my system ...
1. works fine
2. Directory in MediaPortal Configuration, Television, Program Guide is locked grey and something "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\Media..."
When I start program "WebEPG" there happens in directory "C:\Users\AdminUser\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Pro gram Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv". The file appears "TVguide-writing" and old "TVGuide.xml" deletes. This situation stay and new "TVGuide.xml" doesn't appear. Seems like TVGuide-writing" file is including right information.
3. I think Plugin XmlTv works if directory is assigned to right place.
Roy, I copied your sending directory and files to C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv, but files in those directory don't upgrade

By the way where from MP reads EPG information if XmlTv plugin is not runnibng?

Something has to do ..

Hi,
Ok, i list up everything needed & see what you already have done & whats left

1. Copy xmltv folder to MP root dir.
2. Run WebEPG-conf.exe & configure channels to grab sites.
3. Run WebEPG.exe to fill TVGuide.xml which will be in "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv"
4. Open MP Configuration -> Plugins -> & enable WebEPG grabber & Configure it to what you like(this will maintain epg).
5. Open TV Setup(management console) -> Plugins -> & enable XMLTV & Open XMLTV & the field Mappings + Load/Refresh & map channels from db to TVGuide & save before leaving.
Think that was it, could be i left something out but it's late

Thanks for help

Yes I understand those installing process but there are 3 problems.

1. WebEPG.exe writes to directory
C:\Users\AdminUser\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv
not to directory
C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv

2. ... writes only file TVguide-writing.xml --- not TVGuide.xml
remove old TVGuide.xml situated in same directory

3. TV Setup(management console) doesn't find TVGuide.xml because there is no file

Hi,
Hmmm, never seen it done that before, here it writes it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\xmltv".
Did you let it run for some time to be finished & do the log(mediaportal.log or webepg, log) tell anything?

Regards
Roy
