| Hi Chris. Flexibility is allways good :-) The main reason would be to make the TvService more flexible and give people the opportunity to test a multiserver setup on a single machine.:-) My guess is that its very few people that has tried the multi server setup, and therefore it properly contains a few bugs.. this would help increasing the quality. Secoundly I dont like that its not possible to change the TvService Control port (31456) through configuration :-( A third thing and very hush hush The real reason: .... It enables MultiTuner support for the MDAPI filter . This can currently only be achieved by dedicating a TvServer pr. Tuner. I wont go into further details because its not appropriate to discuss it in public at this forum. Go to DVBN, if you want to know more.I have submitted my code changes, on the team mediaportal patch site Patch submittion Regards, Heerfordt |

![]() someone should better "fix" that filter, instead of doing major changes to the TV-Server as workaround for the flaws of that filter. ![]()

| Hi Chris, The problem is not located in the filter, because its able to handle more than one tuner at the moment. The problem lies in the actuelle MDAPI plugin you use, they can not be loaded more than once in the same process.. besides from that seperate configuration is pr. tuner. If I think long and hard I could properly find more good agruments to why this is a good idea.. but it might be better if we gave the people to opporunity and they could find the purpose Time will tell, I have submitted the changes on the Portal's patch site... maybe its going to be approved or maybe it's not. Regards. Heerfordt. |

| Hi Chris. I found another solution, that dosent involve having to changes anything in the TeamMediaPortal TvServer. I have made some important changes in the PluginHandler so now it should be possible to use the MDAPI on mulitple tuners without having a deticated TvService pr. tuner. But I still would like to have the TvService more flexible Rgs. Heerfordt. |

Country: | Hi heerfordt. That sounds like a much better approach to me. Can you please share the source changes for the plugin manager improvements as well (I guess it makes sense to keep this changes independent from the multiple instance changes). Hopefully someone from our tv server developers can free some time to have a look at it. Thx Lars
