Thanks for your help, I shall upload the log files and then I'm going to try build 18080 as people seem to be saying it worked!

Edit: Build 18080 seems to work! Well it doesn't crash at least and finds the channels !
Edit2: Poo, but then I can't get MediaPortal to work.
thats why I recommend making an image.. you can always try another version .. since it IS only a testversion and people are working hard on it..
please use the same SVN for mediaportal as you used for tvserver ??

Thanks for your help,

No problem, also I forgot.. also run the same client version of tvserver on mediaportal ..and ofcourse the same SVN from mediaportal .. that would be the best solution for suc6

I'm running the same plugin version on media portal and the same build SVN for mediaportal, whilst the TV server correctly detects when mediaportal connects, on trying to watch TV (ie pressing TV On) media portal just freezes.

I'm now going to have fun browsing forums trying to find the answer!
Thanks for your help and advice =)

it probably is in your codec setup .. or your firewall doesnt allow traffic !?!?! just usually the case ..

I am working on a manual how to install mediaportal with tvclient.. but the codec section has only links to programs you need .. but not really an explanation how to setup mediaportal just yet..

its a lot of work to make it idiot proof

My manual on how to install a Mediaportal client on XPSP2 using the tvserverplugin
