Thanks to your valueable feedback I could already fix many issues:
  • Support for "Duration" is based on LastWriteTime now
  • The confirmation message on import can be disabled
  • Improved exception handling - more error messages
  • The TreeViews are sorted by alphabet now for better comparability
  • The backslash related errors on some machines should be fixed
  • Fetching tag files is done by an extra thread now
  • Problems looking up folders recursively due to access restrictions should be solved as well

The new Version 2 is added to the first post - unfortunately it does require latest TVE3-SVN again for compatibility.

Hi rtv

looks great but I still struggle with the tool. After adding the "\" to the recording path ist able to get the database entries, but reading the xml files in the recording path does't work (G:\My Documents\My Recordings\).

Any idea?

I've fixed some little issues. The V3 release will be uploaded here after the next public TVE3 build is online.
Are your recordings located in this folder only - without subdirs?

Hi rtv
your assumption is correct. There are no subdirs. If I go up one level (G:\My Documents\) the program starts to read the matroska files from the deeper directory G:\My Documents\My Recordings\, but I get the error "Could not build TreeNode from recording:" for each entry. Anyway if I accept the warnings the complete tree will be displayed after all files are read and importing works fine.

Question

Hi RTV,
I've noticed on SVN that you have forced the XML (matroska) file creation.
On recordings section in SetupTV the xml setting is loaded true by default and the checkbox is invisible.

Do you have fixed it because you need the xml for the import utility ?

Bye

Hi rtv
The "Could not build TreeNode from recording:" results from the fact that I meanwhile changed a channel name "kabel eins" --> "kabel eins classics". If I manually correct the corresponding xml file, the import works fine.

I have noticed that this doesn't work in VISTA64sp1, which is a shame .

I stupidly didn't try it before instaling sp1

Works fine in w2ksp4,xpsp2 and VIST32 (no sp1 as of yet)

Is it sp1 that has broken it or is 64bit OS the problem.

DVBsub2.ax also doesn't work in (fails to reg) in VISTA64.

I know VISTA 64 is't a priority
