| i actually stopped everything and opened all again The error log shows this line: Failed to get a SDP description from URL rtsp://htpc1/stream1.0 connect() im trying to figure out what this is right now |

question: do you have a router in between those machines.. (probably blocking UDP) .. If possible.. try connect the machines with simply 1 networkcable in between without routers or anything else and see what happens.. ? (it doesnt have to be crosslinked cable, the networkchips nowadays dont bother with it and work anyway )

| first trial on new client pc: failed ... i guess te problem is from the server !? i do have a router between the machines, but i also tried direct connection between the 2 pc's Last edited by megacrypto; 2008-04-01 at 14:35. |

just make sure you use the SAME account name on both machines with the same password.. then you would not get the access denied error because of missing security rights ![]()

| limpwhizkid: how can you make the same user accounts on a workgroup? what i did was i gave access to 'EVERYONE' on the timeshifting folder btw. I did format the PC and still the same problem exist |

welcome to windows Did you replace the streamingserver.dll again ? because I have to admit, after 20-03-08 my Tvserver versions only work when I replace them with the old streamingserver.dll I run 29-03-08 now.. with the old streamingserver.dll and runs perfectly ![]()
