Default pvr-scheduler together with TV-server

Hi.

I am thinking about try to install the tv-serve so I can receive multiple TV DVB stream with a single DVB-T card.

But before I do so I have a question:

Can the TV-server and pvr-scheduler work together?
If not how does the TV-serve weak up the PC for recordings ect.

I don’t want the TV-server to run 24h a day and the setup will only be for a “single seat setup”.

Regards
Nielsen

Most things that made PVRScheduler great, have now been incorporated into TVServer\Mediaportal.

I always had problems with my TVcard on resume, but between the TVServer \Powerscheduler plugin and the Mediaportal\Powerscheduler Client plugin, these seem to be gone.
You need both activated in single seat setups as they talk to each other and stop things going into suspend whilst watching favourite video, etc.

There are also some other settings you may like to adjust, like MP startup delay etc.

Have a look at the TVE3 manual\powerscheduler

PVRS is a great program and STSC has helped a lot of people get there systems starting\stopping correctly, if you want all the bells and whistles that it obviously has, but it is OTT for most peoples needs.

Hi

How will the TVServer \Powerscheduler react if I want to use my PC as a “normal” PC internet browsing etc. I will manually turn on and off the PC while I have MP running on my secondary screen.

Is it possible to manually put the PC en sleep mode from MP by the remote and then the TVServer \Powerscheduler will weak up the PC for recordings etc?

If you read the powerscheduler section, it describes how to add programs that if running will stop shutdown from happening (ie converting recorded tv to xvid).

Standby can be initiated via remote button, leaving mediaportal inactive in home screen or letting tvserver do it after its idle time, without MP running.

Input from keyboard\mouse\remote breaks this standby routine anyway (resets time), this part only works XP, does not work with Vista.
