I just set my PVR-150 to 10000 CBR and it's staying put there.

Unfortunately, it won't stick on mine either (Hauppaugge PVR 150). I'm not sure what else to do, I may consider going back to the non-TV server version as the quality is *awful* for anything fast moving like sports, which is a large part of what I watch/record.

Maybe its with certain driver versions? I'll have to check which I am running.

Is there anything else we can try? like editing the registry somewhere? I'd try walking around with a tin foil hat if I thought it might help...

I used the latest software & driver from the Hauppaugge web page about a month ago.

I was under the impression that it makes no difference what you set where since when the graph is built the bitrates and explicitly set. The only way I've been able to have any impact is to build my own TVServer with the hard coded bitrates changed.

Hey Mcraenz - any chance you could share the relevant compiled files???

I've had no success getting this to stick either. I've tried with Graphedit and with the old Hauppage tweaker - both methods allow me to successfully change the brightness and contrast etc but I can't get the bitrate to change (or stick).

I can't tell you guys how much I'd appreciate getting this resolved. I *love* MP and particularly the server but this is a major issue for me

I spose I could but it might be better if an option was included in tv server to change this. And I don't mean an option on the tv server setup form, rather have tvserver use the current defaults unless it finds c:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\HauppaugeBitrates.txt which would contain the custom bitrates for those of us who want to experiment. I just don't like the idea of propagating disparate dll files But either way could work.

What do you rekon Diehard? I could make a patch.

Sounds good to me to be able to change the bitrates in a easy way, if it helps the quality of SD Tv I say go for it!
