Country: | Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone has an opinion on the best OS for TV Server? I'm currently running Vista Ultimate but am considering rebuilding back to XP because I seem to have problems with zapping and because the time for my Hauppage card to start under Vista seems longer than XP was. What do you guys think?? |

| Portal Member | My vote is based on the two or three months that I used Vista. In the end I decided to revert back to XP. Yes - a lot of the technical guru's will tell me that I did not spent enough time to tweak/fix my issues with Vista, but if you go and read professional reviews regarding the upcoming XP SP3 and Vista SP1, it still seems that XP is a better option.

Country: | I am running TV Server on Win 2003 Server. Have not had an issue at all. Not much if any tweaking required. Note that I do not run MP on this machine and is my main server for everything else I do. Zapping is quick as (1-2 seconds) and that between SD and HD channels as well

| Portal Member | BKCH - can you add 2003 as as option to the poll? Seems like a few members are using it and I think we would all like to see the real results on this one.
