Recording Quality settings

Hey,

Sorry if this question has been asked a thoused times allready. But I couldnt find information on this topic.

In the TV engine it was possible to change the records bit rates from high to medium etc. Is this still possible with the TV-server? and if so where since I cant find it.

I really hope that its is possible since I only have one HDD drive. Currently 2 recordings at the same time is not running flawless.

Hi Yodar

I am afraid that as far as I am aware the quality settings for Hauppauge analogue cards are only in TV Engine 2 and not TV Server (TV Engine 3).

I think there may have been a technical issue that prevented it being added to TVE3.

thx alot. Your awnser really helped me.

The funny thing is that I wanted to set the bit rate lower for card with the lowest priority.
According to the thread the problem arrised at higher bit rates.

But I understand its not build in now and prolly wont for a long time if ever

Maybe I have to go start looking for a second tv server deticated hdd drive. Would that solve my problem?
