| Portal Member | Hi all I'm currently using SageTV but with big interest I follow the developing stages of this great product. Can't wait for a first final version. But I have a question concerning the streaming of movies or recorded TV shows. In my test installation I have a Haupaufe PVR-500 card. If I record two TV shows at the same time I'm not able to stream an already recorded show to a client. The message is that no further card is available. In SageTV the streaming is not done over the tuner cards, mean having two running recordings I'm still able to stream another show to a client (not live TV of course). This is important to me since my current SageTV installation contains a server with 6 tuner cards and 5 clients. But if I need a tuner card per client stream (and I experience 5 parallel streamings at the same time) I can only record one TV show with the remaining card. Is my assumption correct? Can I change this behavior somewhere in the configs? Thanks in advance szhrvd |

| Portal Member | Are you trying to view the show by choosing it from the TV Guide? If you attempt to view a show from the TV Guide that has already been shown, MediaPortal assumes that you would like to watch that channel from the live point anyway (in case of scheduling errors, I suspect, although I personally believe this behaviour does not reflect the majority of cases and should be changed). To watch a recorded show, you should choose it from the Recorded TV menu. |

| Portal Member | Chris sure, sorry for the confusion, must be my lack of English. 1) start two parallel recordings with my two tuner card 2) Ty TV->Timer-> jump to one of the currently active recordings and try to play them Result: playing from the current position works but playing from the beginning doesn't works Is this a streaming issue? I have an other issue with the streaming. Regardless whether I play a current recording or a recordes show, the skip, replay, forward, pause, ... doesn't work. Afer every of those actions the playing re-starts from the beginning. I know this is the wrong place wo ask this but I went through lot of posts and it seems that other users experience the same issue bute there is no solution. I couldn't find this issue in Mantis yet even if it was reported by other users, too Thanks Danny |

Country: | Ok so you have - a dual-tuner (analog) card - and each card is currently recording now while both cards are recording you want to : 1. watch a previous made recording (lets say you recorded it 2 days ago) -> this is possible 2. watch one of the programs which is currently being recorded. -> this is possible I dont use this feature a lot myself, and since its still beta it could be buggy I'll try it myself to see if its indeed working and if not fix it. | Portal Member | You are right Frodo, it's beta and I don't blame the product. I use a clean installation on a dedicated maschine (XP SP2, .net 2, all hotfixes) with a Hauppauge PVR-500 1 works 2 works with curious behavior. Sometimes it works if I try to watch the current recording from the beginning, sometimes not. Same for trying watching from the current position. 10 minutes ago it worked well, not I get a message that timeshifting it's not possible due to no more tuner carda available (see attached image). And between 10 minutes ago and now I didn't change anything, same recordings. Do you have also the same bahavior with skip, forward, replay, .... ? Thanks Danny TVEngine and plugin 2007 01 01 01-12 MP 0.2.2 with svn 01-01-2007-01-02 also chosed a clean install (remove database, engine, all directories, ....) but same behavior p.s. even though we experience some bugs, it's a great product. |
