Feature Request - Select tracks from different DVD's in playlist

I am sure most of us have a few music dvd's ripped to hdd. Think how nice it would be if one can select a specific chapter from a dvd to compile a playlist.

Example playlist could look like this:
DVD1, Title2, Chapter10
DVD1, Title4, Chapter03
DVD2, Title1, Chapter01
DVD2, Title2, Chapter01
DVD3, Title1, Chapter15

Currently able to accomplish similar with the quite extensive process of converting each chapter to avi/mpg and compile normal playlist. Quality not the same anymore.

Please respond on any or all quastions:
1. Will the proposed concept be technically possible?
2. If possible, can some of the developers/administrators please respond on the posibility to include this request in your MP-II project plan.
3. Any other views or suggestions on the concept?
4. What are you guys/girls currently use to convert a music chapter on a dvd to avi/mpg?

Hey I have also thought of this, but I think it mabey will be to slow, because it should first of all mount the DVD?

But mabey its not a problem because it could mount the DVD while playing the first song, and then be ready when its done.

What handles converting, then you can use DVD Shrink

I have used dvdshrink a while back, but I can't remember that it is able to convert a specific chapter (track) on a dvd to avi. Is it not working on a whole title at a time? For that I would rather use AutoGK.

For single chapter/track I have used SimpleDivX, ImTooDVDRipper and #1DVD Ripper. Anyone else working on single selected chapters/tracks/songs?

Does anyone know if this "playlist-on-steroids" is possible with a plugin?
On MP1?

I have been using Solveig Trimmer to cut up avi's for some time now with much success (mostly to top and tail recorded TV.)

I think it could easily be used to dissect single concerts into individual tracks, a bit cumbersome maybe, but the software seems to work well without losing sync etc. as it seems to use appropriate cut points dependent on whereyou would like to cut (i.e overrides your precise cut point with one where audio remains in sync)

I do have some tools to cut it up. The playlist option just seems easier and quicker.
