Hi,

he did say hello some days ago (internal). He took some time out, to get fresh ideas. I think there will be some news soon.

Flip.

he seems to be reading the forum now and then. Really feel there is no future without him (without wanting to piss off other developers)

Default Don't know about "no future"...

...but as the creative driving force, he clearly created the fundamental basis for the best damn media centre software known to humankind.

I think the consolidation that has happened in his absence (obviously due to the efforts of all those talented developers) over the past few months has been great...feature freeze and bug fixes have gone a long way to making the software stabler and more sound than ever before...

Perhaps we'll see the genius of Frodo at work again before long...a few months at arms length can do wonders for one's perception of "the bigger picture"

Don't think so. Surely frodo is very importand for this project. But there are very good devs that did a great job hidden in the back. Just wait and you will see.

Yep _ I love what's happened recently with MP. Since MP went into feature freeze it has become so much stabler, its gone from something I tinker with, to something that runs 24/7 on our TV.

I was all excited for MP 2, as I wanted a stable quick system, but with MP1 being as it is now, i'm in no rush at all for MP2!

MP rocks. Especially the TV Server.

I second that. Keep up the good work!

maybe you're right. Because of the 80-20 rule it seemed that at the beginning (with Frodo being the lead-developer) progress was very fast. In 20% of the time 80% of the functionality was done. Other developers might put in a lot of effort for the last 20% but this is not as visible
