Default Wii without delay

Just got a Nintendo Wii for Christmas and I was wondering if it will work on my HTPC setup without any delay. I don't have a "real" TV, so I will be hooking the Wii through my HTPC which has a Samsung 226BW and runs MediaPortal. I have an AMD Sempron 2800+ with a GeForce 5200 video card (256mb) and I am using a Winfast DTV 1000T as my tuner. Will I be able to run the Wii video through the Winfast video in and the sound through the soundcard line in and play without any delay? I have heard mixed opinions on this. Thanks for any help in advance.

Thats a negatory, unless you can play with a 5-10 second lag I use my card to capture stuff off of my 360, but it would be completely unplayable.

Sorry for being a bit of a newb at this, but why is, what seems to me is basically a USB TV capture card, faster than a PCI capture/tuner card?

The delay is normally caused by the application buffering to disk.
If you ran MediaPortal with timeshifting off - there should be no delay. DScaler is perfect for this sort of thing since it just displays the video output to screen without disk buffering.

Use Dscaller. If you're in the UK, set your Wii to Pal 60. You ca then set the input format to Pal 60, which, if you're using an LCD monitor, will give you best results.

Play about with the settings.

Well, I have installed DScaler and the Wii seems to be working without delay! Now I am trying to get the best settings for the video. I have a Winfast DTV 1000T with composite video in. The picture is a little blurry. Has anyone used this card and can suggest the best settings?
