Adding channels manually

I'm "trying" to switch over to TVE3, but so far I've had nothing but trouble. In the old tv engine, I could easily add channels manually by typing the frequency, but in TVE3 all I get is "snow". I tried scanning for channels, but it detects the same channel multiple times, no matter what "sensitivity" I choose, so I have to manually delete 50-60 channels afterwards. I've allready added the channels to card1 and card2. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but the channels appear correctly in MyTV and the guide, but again only "snow" appear when switching between them.
I have a analog signal, so are there any advantages from the "old" engine, or should I just stick with the old engine, which only gives me smaller issues...?
